Gregory Franklin’s success in the long-running Los Angeles critically-acclaimed world premiere of Divorce! The Musical with Split-Up Productions garnered him a Best Ensemble Ovation Nomination and Best Supporting Actor In A Musical Ticket Holder Award. Mr. Franklin went on to play the role of Roy Johnson opposite Mary Donnelly Haskell for YMTA Productions at El Portal followed by the critically-acclaimed American Premiere of F*cking Men @ Celebration Theatre with a Best Ensemble Ticket Holder Nomination. After completing a summer 2008 Chicago run of the Joseph Jefferson Award-winning production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame as Father Frollo by Styx rock legend, Dennis DeYoung, he returned to Los Angeles to win a Best Cabaret Ensemble Ticket Holder Award for the hit cabaret show Jacques Brel: A Life In Song translated and directed by Peter Mellencamp. Mr. Franklin was a recurring sketch player for Talk Show With Spike Feresten. Recent screen credits include; House, Mad Men, Samantha Who?, Close To Home, Ghost Hunters:Point of Contact, Friendly Fire, Pure Love, and Power Poison. Chicago theatre highlights include Galileo at the Goodman Theatre, Kabuki Medea at Wisdom Bridge, Chicago and Grant Park Symphonies as a vocalist, and Ensemble Espanol as a company dancer. Other recent Los Angeles credits include Glengarry Glen Ross at The Egyptian, Twentieth Century at The Lillian Theatre, Wild About Harry at Crown City Theatre, and The Winter’s Tale at a Noise Within and Man of La Mancha for which he holds a Best Supporting Actor Ticket Holder Award. He holds a Best Supporting Actor Robbie Nomination for originating the role of Charles VII in Joan of Arc at The Lobero in Santa Barbara, a Garland Citation for Best Actor in a Musical Comedy for The Boys From Syracuse with Crown City Theatre. Additional west coast theatre credits include numerous productions with Actors Alley, Actor’s Company, Long Beach Studio, Welk Resort, Southern Arizona Light Opera, California Music Theatre Broadway Series, Jewel Box, Theatre Geo, Celebration, Inside The Ford, Lillian, Ark, and Whitefire. Mr. Franklin performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2005 under producer Jon Lawrence Rivera and continues to tour with The Roger Wagner Chorale to Japan. www.gregoryfranklin.net
